Beschreibung

Eine Reihe ausgewählter Standbilder aus dem Bereich der Cinematographie, rekonstruiert in einer 3D-Szene und deren Wiedergabe als Bild mittels Computerrendering.

Nach einer Einführung in die 3D-Grafiksoftware Cinema 4D, wurden den Studierenden verschiedene Standbilder aus Filmbeispielen präsentiert, die es in einer 3D-Szene detailgetreu nachzubilden galt. Der Schwerpunkt der Arbeiten lag auf der Analyse der in den Bildern vorgefundenen cineastischen Atmosphären und deren Nachbildung und Simulierung innerhalb der Software-Umgebung. Es wurden bewusst Bildszenen mit überschaubarer Anzahl von Objekten ausgewählt, mehrheitlich Innen- und Nahaufnahmen, um den Arbeitsfokus auf die kohärente Wiedergabe der vorgefundenen Lichtverhältnisse und auf die unterschiedlichen Bildstimmungen zu konzentrieren. Die bildkompositorischen und stilistischen Merkmale der einzelnen Filmstandbilder sollten so bestmöglich in die 3D-Modelle übertragen und mittels virtueller Beleuchtung und simulierter Kamera abschliessend anhand des Computerrenderings ins Bild gerechnet werden. Nebst der Vermittlung der 3D-Grafik, im Beispiel der Software von Cinema 4D, galt es zu prüfen, inwiefern atmosphärische Bildästhetiken mittels computergenerierter Bilder zu erzeugen möglich sind – Bildästhetiken, die zwar auf einer fotografischen Sprache beruhen, jedoch in Ihrer Ausdruckskraft die tendenziell leblos- und kühlgehaltene Bildsprache von sonst gerechneten Bildbeispielen zu überwinden fähig sind.
