Le Géant de Troie. 2014

We live nowadays in world that is very much shaped by the results and methods of the various sciences. Our gaze splits atoms. We penetrate surfaces and journey into the inner space of things. Optical systems and simulation processes no longer differentiate between body and space, inside and outside – boundaries have become permeable. Our view of things – what Fritz Mauthner calls "the convex view of the world", i.e. a view directed from outside towards the body – is changing. We no longer bump against the outside corner of a die but see its inside corner, whether it is filled or hollow, real or abstract.
